New Management Drives Turnaround at Tri State Ford
EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – In just two years under new ownership, Tri State Ford has turned things around since its transition from Grand Ford and is reporting year-over-year sales increases.
Last year, sales increased 15% over 2018, driven by alleviating issues that plagued previous management, which lacked inventory and a customer base, says Josh Smith, marketing manager.
Foot traffic improves daily, which Smith attributes to the dealership’s emphasis on supporting customers and giving back to the community, and adopting a new marketing slogan: “Customer Focused and Community Driven.”
One of its community contributions is Communicycle, a program and ministry group that collects used bikes and parts to provide a way for children and adults to earn a bike through volunteering. Smith is the coordinator and worked with Six Recycling Corp., MESO Inc., Heritage Thermal and DiLoreto Construction to bring the program to East Liverpool.
“Being a part of this program is very rewarding,” he says. “Having the ability to make just one child’s day makes this program worthwhile.”
