Nominations Open for 25 Under 35 Awards

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals club is now accepting nominations for the 2019 25 Under 35 Awards. The deadline to submit an application is Nov. 30.

MVYP is also hosting its 13th Annual 25 Under 35 Reunion Mixer Thursday at Cafe 422 in Boardman. All former nominees, MVPs and nominators are invited to attend. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

The 25 Under 35 honorees will be announced in December and the three MVP award winners will be announced Feb. 7 at the awards ceremony at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Nominees must be between the ages of 21 and 35 and may not exceed 35 years of age as of Feb. 7. Nominees must live and/or work primarily in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties.

All applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and scored based on career achievements, education, and community service. Among the previous 25 Under 35 nominees are former Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams, Ian Beniston, executive director of the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.; Jim Freeze, executive director of Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries; and Alexa Sweeney Blackann, vice president of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC.
