Nominations Open for Valley Legacy Awards

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Shepherd of the Valley is accepting nominations for the 2019 Valley Legacy Awards. Now in its 15th year, the event honors civic-minded seniors and senior advocates for their contributions to the Mahoning Valley. 

The deadline to apply is July 1.

The awards recognize three categories of legacies: Outstanding Senior Award for Community Achievement, Outstanding Senior Award for Professional Excellence and Outstanding Senior Advocates.

In 2005, the Valley Legacy Awards were created to honor those who are devoted to improving the Mahoning Valley. Since then, the VLA’s have honored more than 300 exceptional people and organizations with 60 receiving the award. 

The nominees will be recognized at the VLA luncheon on Oct. 10 at The Maronite Center in Youngstown. Nomination forms can be found here.
