Northrup Grumman Honors Solar Atmosphere’s Hermitage Site
HERMITAGE, Pa. – Solar Atmospheres of Western PA has received Northrop Grumman’s Outstanding Customer Service Award, recognizing the company as a top-performing supplier.
Solar Atmosphere’s Hermitage site, which specializes in processing titanium parts, offers vacuum heat treating and has one of the world’s largest commercial vacuum furnaces, at 48 feet long and a capacity of 150,000 pounds.
“As a global leader of military and Department of Defense critical hardware, Northrup Grumman Defense Systems offers security to customers across the globe through the operations excellence Solar Atmospheres of Western PA provides,” said President Bob Hill in a statement. “Solar Atmospheres is extremely grateful for the recognition and looks forward to supporting the future needs of this partnership with our mutual goal to keep all Americans safe.”
Solar Atmosphere’s Hermitage site is an 80,000-square-foot building at 30 Industrial Road. The company also has sites Souderton, Pa., Fontana, Calif., and Greenville, S.C.
