Talk to Address Addiction, Mental Health Issues
BOARDMAN, Ohio – The latest installment in the “Now You Know” talk series presented by Meridian Healthcare, will address coping with the issues of substance abuse and mental health at the same time.
Tina Goynes, co-occurring treatment program manager for Meridian HealthCare, will present “Understanding Co-Occurring Addiction and Treatment” 6 p.m. Thursday at the Boardman Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, 7680 Glenwood Ave.
Goynes’ presentation will focus on the struggles facing individuals dealing with these issues, different levels of care available, integrated treatment methods and community resources.
The Now You Know series is co-sponsored by Meridian and the Public Library. The 45-minute talks focus on family, health and lifestyle topics.
