Now You Know Program to Focus on Youth, Phone Apps
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youth and social media will be the focus of the latest installment of the Now You Know series, presented by Meridian HealthCare and the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
The featured speaker is Angie Cameron, manager of Meridian HealthCare’s youth and young adult programs. A dually licensed counselor and school counselor, Cameron oversees Meridian’s prevention team and the Panda Leaders Club program in local schools.
She will discuss “Phone Apps and Social Media: Which Ones Are Safe for Your Kids.”
Inspired by the popular TED Talks, Now You Know is a series of monthly educational talks presented by Meridian HealthCare and the Public Library focusing on family, health and lifestyle topics.
The program will be held at 6 p.m. at the Public Library’s Boardman branch. A question-and-answer presentation will follow the 45-minute presentation. There is no charge to attend the event. For more information, call Meridian’s Renee Amacher at 330 259 8623.
