ODJFS Hosts Virtual Skilled Trades Career Fair
COLUMBUS, Ohio – A statewide virtual skilled trades job fair will take place Wednesday, June 22.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services invites those looking for skilled trade careers to attend the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The fair will feature over 50 registered employers.
“We often hear from employers that they need skilled workers, and this job fair will be an excellent way for them to find great candidates,” says ODJFS director, Matt Damschroder said. “Skilled trades are an excellent career path. Individuals can make good money, earn while they learn, and easily find a job.”
All employers at the event currently have open positions in various communities in Ohio. Some of the in-demand positions include welders, mechanics, carpenters, electricians, tool and die makers, plumbers, installers and programmers.
Pre-registration is not a requirement, however, those choosing to do so will have the opportunity to specify interests, schedule interviews and upload resumes. Registration starts on June 13, at https://app.brazenconnect.com/events/Q8OB3?utm_medium=Social+Media&utm_content=Facebook.
Attendees will be able to choose from audio and video interview options, as well as having the ability to send chat messages to employers. Pre-registered attendees will receive reminders of the event and any scheduled interviews.
