ODOT Invites Public to Offer Input on Route 224 Project
BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 will present a virtual open house to review proposed safety improvements along U.S. Route 224 between Market Street and Tiffany Boulevard.
A pre-recorded presentation will provide an overview of the project history, present the recommended alternative and receive input from the public and local stakeholders. ODOT is seeking public input regarding the recommended alternatives.
The proposed project is currently in the environmental engineering phase, which includes environmental studies and preliminary plan development. Right-of-way acquisition is scheduled to begin in the spring, followed by construction in spring 2026.
The virtual open house will be available Jan. 29 through March 1. Project information and materials can be viewed on the project website.
The public is invited to visit the website, view the presentation, review the available project information and the recommended alternatives and submit questions or comments via email.
Those who do not have internet access and would like the materials mailed to them or those who require interpretation/translation services or reasonable accommodation to view the presentation or provide comments can contact Sean Carpenter, ODOT district environmental specialist, at 330 786 2274 or [email protected].
Comments received by March 1 will be compiled, answered and posted on the project website.
