Ohio’s New ‘Heart of It All’ State Map Now Available

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Transportation is distributing 1.4 million copies of the new state map highlighting the “Ohio, The Heart of It All” tourism brand. 

Ohio’s new state map, which debuted at the 2024 Ohio State Fair, features the latest road changes, updated routes and points of interest to help travelers navigate the state. Designed for both local residents and tourists, the map provides essential information on highways, byways and notable destinations. 

“Our state map is a gateway to all things Ohio,” Gov. Mike DeWine said. “Our new map is about more than just our roads – it’s a tool we can use to showcase all we have to offer in Ohio, the Heart of It All.” 

The 2024 map contains photos of attractions, families enjoying the outdoors and notable locations in the state. It also lists facts about the state, contact information for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, information on Ohio’s distracted driving law and reminders to move over and slow down for roadside workers.

Members of the public can pick up a free copy of the map at one of the state’s rest areas. Maps also can be ordered for free on ODOT’s website. 

“Online navigation services can go offline. Cell service can drop. It’s always smart to have hard copy backup in your vehicle with you,” ODOT Director Jack Marchbanks said. “Whether you are taking your family to explore one of our state’s beautiful parks or attractions, planning a business trip or need to plot the best route to get from point A to point B, Ohio’s new state map will get you there.”
