Ohio’s TechCred Funded 345 Employers in January
COLUMBUS, Ohio – In January, 345 employers were approved for funding through Ohio’s TechCred program, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced Friday.
The funding will provide the opportunity for Ohioans to earn 4,237 tech-focused credentials, said Husted, who serves as director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.
“TechCred is working to upskill and reskill Ohio’s workforce, while also providing a chance for businesses to gain a competitive edge,” Husted said. “From an economic development standpoint, this program is helping to prepare Ohio employers and employees for the many projects and opportunities taking shape here in our state.”
This latest round marks the 18th application period of the program, with manufacturing topping the list of industries applying for tech-infused credentials. The current application period for businesses opened March 1 and will close at 3 p.m. March 31. Employers can apply HERE.
