Ohio’s TechCred Funded 391 Employers in March
COLUMBUS, Ohio – In March, 391 employers were approved for funding through Ohio’s TechCred program, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced Thursday.
The funding will provide the opportunity for Ohioans to earn 4,656 tech-focused credentials, said Husted, who serves as director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.
“There is a constant demand on our workforce to adapt to new technologies,” Husted said. “Having a program like TechCred to help upskill or reskill Ohioans is vital to the success of our people and businesses.”
This latest round marks the 19th application period of the program, with manufacturing topping the list of industries applying for tech-infused credentials. The current application period for businesses opened May 1 and will close at 3 p.m. May 31. Employers can apply HERE.
