YMCA Celebrates Healthy Kids Day April 29

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Participate in a “Charge into Summer” event, celebrated by over 1.2 million people at over 1,600 YMCA’s across the country on Annual Healthy Kids Day, April 29.

The day celebrated at both the Central and Davis Family YMCA’s, is meant to encourage kids to stay active and keep learning all summer long.

“A child’s development is never on vacation and Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity to educate families and motivate kids to stay active in spirit, mind and body throughout the summer,” said Adele Taylor, preschool and family director of the Davis Family YMCA in a news release.

Activities from noon to 3 p.m. include a bounce house, class demonstrations, face painting and healthy snacks to motivate and teach families how to develop healthy routines at home.
