Penn State Accepting Submissions for Arts Business Contest

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Penn State University is accepting entries for its 2019 Arts Business Ideas Competition through Feb. 25.

The contest is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at all Penn State campuses, including Penn State Shenango in Sharon, Pa. Students may submit ideas for their art-based business concepts, whether they be free-lance, for-profit, nonprofit, large-scale or small-scale.

Entries must be turned in by Feb, 25, with the list of those advancing to the next round announced March 18. In the final round April 2, the four finalists will give a 15-minute presentation to a panel of judges, with the winner announced at Pegula Ice Arena two days later.

The winner of the contest will receive $5,000, with second place winning $2,500, third place $1,5000 and fourth place $1,000.
