Penn State LaunchBoxes Accepting Idea TestLab Applications
SHARON, Pa. – Entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to learn and test out their ideas at the 2024 Idea TestLab.
Applications are being accepted through Jan. 23 for the free, four-week virtual accelerator designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs determine the viability of their business ideas. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as applications will close as soon as the cohort is filled.
The Idea TestLab is sponsored by four Penn State LaunchBoxes – Shenango, Harrisburg, Mont Alto and York. No affiliation with Penn State is required for participation in the Idea TestLab, and any Pennsylvania-based entrepreneur is welcome to apply.
The Idea TestLab consists of four weekly online classes and one-on-one coaching support. Classes will be held virtually from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays in February.
Individual participants or teams will meet with customers, experts and competitors to clearly define their target customer and the value their business can provide for them. Participants will build entrepreneurial skills through structured programming that moves ideas from concepts to a viable business plan.
Participants will also have the opportunity to be considered as preferred applicants for Mont Alto LaunchBox’s LION Tank pitch competition, which will take place March 18-22. Participants may also be eligible for additional grant funding through the NSF iCorps Microgrant Program upon completion of the program.
