Kidd to Keynote Youngstown Press Club Annual Meeting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Phil Kidd returns to Youngstown to offer the keynote address at this year’s annual meeting of the Youngstown Press Club.

Kidd, special projects manager for Northwest Neighborhoods Community Development Corp., is the former director of events and special projects for the city of Youngstown. He was also senior organizer with the Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative, staff consultant for the journalism department at Youngstown State University and associate director of Youngstown CityScape.

He is former owner of Youngstown Nation and author of the Defend Youngstown blog. He co-founded the former City Club of the Mahoning Valley and is a community affiliate with the YSU Center for Working Class Studies.

The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on May 17 in the Anne Christman Memorial Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium. Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers. Tables of eight are $300. Tickets must be purchased by May 10.
