Pine Knoll Clock Shop Keeps Ticking with Virtual Store
MERCER, Pa. – Pine Knoll Clock Shop and Appraisals enjoyed a double-digit increase in revenues last year as it expanded its service area and client base.
Growth in the appraisals portion of the business exceeded revenue from auctions and sales, says Dorrin Mace, horologist and certified antiques appraiser at Pine Knoll.
For 2020, Pine Knoll plans to raise its online profile with social media pages and an updated website, Mace says. A virtual store will offer clocks for sale, as well as a Q&A section for clock enthusiasts, he says.
Pine Knoll will also be resetting the show room, repair area and a former storage area to improve workflow and create a more pleasant experience for clients, Mace says.
The shop repairs and restores all types of clocks, and makes house calls for large clocks, Mace says.
Throughout the year, Pine Knoll hosts customer-appreciation events and participates in fundraising auctions for nonprofits.
