Premier Bank Donates $10K to American Red Cross
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Premier Bank recently donated a check for $10,000 to the American Red Cross Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley Chapter.
“We are proud to support the American Red Cross and to honor individuals that have demonstrated acts of extraordinary courage,” said Trish Gelsomino, foundation giving coordinator at Premier Bank. “Together we can spread kindness and make Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley stronger.”
The funds will be used to sponsor the Acts of Courage and H. Peter Burg Community Leader Award event recently held at The New Center at NEOMED in Rootstown, Ohio.
“Each year, the American Red Cross presents the Acts of Courage Awards to those residents of Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Summit and Trumbull counties who have acted courageously and selflessly in a time of emergency,” said Rachel D’Attoma, executive director of the American Red Cross Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley Chapter. “In addition, we also present a community member, who has spent a lifetime pursuing good deeds, with the H. Peter Burg Community Leader Award.”
