Prepped Wellness Quadruples Business in 2019
YOUNGSTOWN – Having experienced 400% revenue growth in 2019, Prepped Wellness owner Gino West anticipates further growth and expansion in 2020 as more clients seek out the meal-prepping help the company provides.
Founded in August 2017, Prepped Wellness this year “exploded” with new customers eager to try the company’s fresh, healthy meals, quadrupling the company’s business last year from 2018, West says. The Youngstown company prepares healthy, convenient meals for each customer, single or large family, based on their dietary preferences and palettes.
“This makes healthy eating easy and practical for the busy people of the Valley and beyond,” he says.
The company started several years ago when West, who considered himself far less healthy and weighed in at around 350 pounds, was motivated to lose 140 pounds in 18 months and to help others who were willing to help themselves as well.
Today, Prepped Wellness has a team of eight employees led by West, and the company is exploring a potential secondary location in a nearby large city.
In addition to serving its customers, the company donates more than $200 worth of food to My Community Kitchen downtown. West also has been a sponsor of One Time for the Kids for the past two years, a sponsorship that benefits local children’s organizations.
