Regional Airport Welcomes Public at Mixer Thursday

VIENNA, Ohio — The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is celebrating the launch of daily flight service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, and is inviting the community for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres tomorrow evening.

YNG is hosting an After Hours Mixer with the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber on from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the event for a chance to learn more about the daily air service and future plans for the flights, and to check out the newly remodeled terminal.

“Now that we’re less that two weeks away from the July 1 launch, we wanted to give the community a chance to get together and celebrate this incredible milestone for the airport,” says the airport’s director of aviation, Dan Dickten.

“This service has the potential to not only give our local businesses an easier way to connect to their distant markets, but to also tap into new markets in the United States and overseas,” he says. “And by giving our clients a nearby airport like YNG that they can fly into, it shows those markets that the Youngstown/Warren region is serious about doing business.”

Anyone who wants to attend can register by contacting the chamber’s special events coordinator, Amy Young at [email protected].

Guests can park in the short-term parking lot. Parking will be validated for anyone attending the mixer.
