Regional Chamber to Honor Bruce, Coy at Annual Meeting
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its 2019 Annual Meeting March 14 at Mr. Anthony’s, where it will also present the Spirit of the Valley and Spirit of the Chamber awards.
At the meeting, which runs 7:30 to 9 a.m., chamber president James Dignan will give an update on economic developments in the Mahoning Valley and what’s to come in the rest of the year.
Receiving the Spirit of the Valley Award is Jimmie Bruce, president of Eastern Gateway Community College. David Coy, president and general manager of WKBN, WYFX, WYTV and WYTV-DT, is being presented with the Spirit of the Chamber award.
The breakfast’s keynote speaker is Alex Epstein. Founder of the Center for Industrial Progress, he wrote “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels,” which won him The McLaughlin Groups’ Most Original Thinker award in 2014. Among his goals is “to teach millions of employees in the fossil fuel industry to understand the value of what they do and how to communicate it.”
