Regional Chamber to Recognize 6 Business Leaders
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will recognize six business leaders at its annual Salute to Business breakfast.
The event will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at Eastwood Event Centre in Niles. Register HERE.
The 2024 Salute to Business Award recipients are:
- Business Professional of the Year: Greg Toporcer, owner of Top Property Holdings.
- Business Advocate of the Year: Kristen Olmi, chief executive officer of KO Consulting Inc.
- Non-Profit Professional of the Year: Dionne Dowdy, executive director of United Returning Citizens.
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Ronnell Elkins, president of YOGO Bikeshare.
- Small Business Professional of the Year: Melissa Poland, owner of Sweet Melissa’s Good Eats.
- Salute to Labor Achievement Award: Antonio Di Tommaso Jr. of Carpenters Local 171.
The Regional Chamber will also present the Valley Champion Award to Sarah O’Brien, a Brookfield native and pastry chef who owns a chain of Little Tart Bakeshop locations in Atlanta. O’Brien has been featured by numerous food, business and mainstream media outlets.
The keynote speaker for the event is Robert Schlaeger of Foxconn Technology Group. He has been with the company for six years and works with Hon Hai Technology Group’s corporate team in Taipei, Taiwan, to support the operations of multiple Foxconn business units and their 5,500 employees in the United States. He is responsible for corporate communications, public relations and government affairs in the United States while supporting other elements of business development and investor relations.
