Ryan Touts $120B Bill in Aid for Small Restaurants

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Under the Restaurants Act — Real Economic Support That Acknowledges Unique Restaurants Assistance Needed to Survive — restaurateurs of locally owned restaurants across the country would get financial help to stay afloat, says U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-13 Ohio.

The measure would establish a $120 billion fund that would cover the difference between a restaurant’s 2019 revenues and projected revenues through the current year.

Food service or drinking establishments that are not publicly traded or part of a chain with 20 or more locations would be eligible for the grants. Read more in the story.
