Sales Up at EvenBay, Offers More Services

WARREN, Ohio — EvenBay Real Estate enjoyed brokerage revenue growth “in excess of 50% in 2019,” says co-founder Michael Stevens. And to augment real estate sales, the agency added property management services, an agent referral network and a real estate investment division.

“This stabilizes our business by providing revenue diversification that can offset lower brokerage revenue during times of market downturns,” he says.

EvenBay was founded in Warren in 2015 by Janice and Michael Stevens and Forrest Kobayashi. A Boardman office opened in 2016.

Janice Stevens acknowledges that technology has changed the way the real estate business is conducted, speeding up all aspects of the transaction process. Nevertheless, EvenBay’s core focus remains on customer service and personal relationships, she says.

As for the 2020 outlook, “The housing market displays remarkable resiliency, maintaining stable sales activity, and experiencing a strong economy,” Stevens says. “With interest rates remaining low, it will continue.”
