SALEM, Ohio – I love my job because of the passionate spirit that we call Quaker pride that permeates and perpetuates every moment of every day I spend at work. It is awesome to work for an organization that is one of the largest and finest alumni associations in the state of Ohio and in the nation.

The Salem High School Alumni Association was organized in 1882 and created the first high school alumni scholarship fund in Ohio in 1903. Since 1908, our association has awarded more than $8.3 million to 2,456 recipients. Thanks to generous alumni and donors over the past 140 years, the association’s portfolio stands at over $12 million.

We are currently reviewing applications for this year’s scholarships for high school seniors and post-secondary applicants.

Last spring we awarded $375,250 to 88 Salem High School students.

It is most gratifying to work for an organization that helps so many students make their dreams of affording a higher education come true. The Salem High School Board of Trustees is a dedicated group of alumni who love their alma mater and are tirelessly working to do what is best for our students and also our Salem alumni.
