Schwebel’s to Unveil Mural at Community Day Nov. 4
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Schwebel Baking Co. will unveil a new mural painted by Youngstown State University students at its headquarters Nov. 4.
As part of the company’s Community Day event, starting at 11 a.m., leaders from the family-owned baking company will unveil the mural.
Titled “Tribute to Youngstown Heritage,” the work on the east side of Schwebels’ distribution center on Midlothian Boulevard chronicles the history of Youngstown’s skyline.
It was pained by art majors and graduate students Angela Cozart, Caroline Lacusky, Taylor Valerio, Evan Vonthaer.
Founded in 1906 by Joseph and Dora Schwebel, Schewbel Baking Co. remains family owned. Among its top selling brands are Giant bread, ‘Taliano, Sweet Wheat, Jewish Rye and Hometown breads and bunds.
