Scrappers to Become Mahoning Valley Packards Aug. 12

NILES, Ohio – The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will become the Mahoning Valley Packards Aug. 12 to celebrate the historic Packard car and raise funds for the National Packard Museum.

“We truly appreciate the Scrappers for their efforts in bringing this collaboration to fruition to support the National Packard Museum,” said Mary Ann Porinchak, executive director of the museum in a news release.

The team’s players will wear specialty Mahoning Valley Packards’ jerseys, which will be available for auction the day of the game and online with proceeds benefiting the National Packard Museum.

Brandiose, a San Diego sports marketing company, designed the specialty jersey and retail hats. “The Packard brand is one of the most storied in America history,” said Brandiose’s Jason Klein. “We’re honored to celebrate the story of this American icon and its deep roots in the Mahoning Valley.”

A $30 ticket package includes a game ticket for the Mahoning Valley Packards night and a limited edition Mahoning Valley Packards hat or shirt. For $45, fans can purchase a game ticket, a Mahoning Valley Packards hat and shirt. Both ticket packages include a donation to the National Packard Museum.

Fans can purchase ticket packages and preorder merchandise online or call 330 505 0000.
