Sheely’s Sets Fundraising Record to Support ALS Association
NORTH LIMA, Ohio – Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance has donated $11,463 to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter, the result of its largest quarterly charitable effort ever.
Through the first three months of the years, both Sheely’s stores – in North Lima and Aurora – offered $100 off qualifying purchases whenever a donation was made. The furniture and appliance store also matched every dollar donated.
“At Sheely’s, we pride ourselves on our 70 year history of giving back to our community. Our quarterly campaigns are a meaningful part of this effort, and we appreciate everyone that donated,” said owner Jessica Smith in a statement. “We were excited to work with ALSA for our quarterly fundraising efforts. Partnering with our customers and employees to assist ALSA in their goal to create a world without ALS was an honor.”
Founded in 1988, the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter supports efforts to discover treatments for ALS – also called Lou Gehrig’s Disease – and to advocate for and empower those with the disease.
