Sikora Resigns as Campbell Memorial Football Coach

CAMPBELL, Ohio — Campbell City Schools Board of Education is expected to accept the resignation of Memorial High School head football coach Mickey Sikora at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11 during a special meeting at the Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center.

Sikora was 6-11 in two seasons with the Red Devils.

The veteran head coach also mentored Campbell from 2010-13 with a 26-16 record and one playoff appearance in 2010 when the Red Devils were 10-2 — reaching the Division IV, Region 13 semifinals.

Prior to being the head coach, Sikora was the defensive coordinator and offensive and defensive line coach from 2007-09.

“Coach Sikora has performed well, and we wish him the best in his future endeavours,” says Matthew Bowen, Campbell City School superintendent.

The district is seeking applicants for the head varsity football coach position.
