Smithworks Bartenders Ball Set for July 9
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — On July 9, the Smithworks Bartenders Ball celebrates the restaurant and service industry workers who are usually working hard this time of year.
Hundreds of area bartenders, servers and kitchen staff will have a chance to take some time for themselves at the event, which happens at 8 p.m. at Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts in Boardman at 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road. Cowboy boots and hats are encouraged for the country-themed event that is hosted by Smithworks American Made Vodka.
The event includes a complimentary tasting bar until 11:30 p.m., followed by a cash bar. Other features include contests and prizes, complimentary DD for Hire services and live music by Chris Higbee, who will open for Florida Georgia Line at this year’s Y Live at Youngstown State University’s Stambaugh Stadium.
The event is presented by Mahoning Valley Hospitality Alliance, a membership-based regional organization that serves all facets of the service industry. Its CEO, Christian Rinehart, owns Suzie’s, Mission Taco and O’Donald’s Irish Pub.
“These professionals work tirelessly and often sacrifice making memories with their own families to make sure customers have a great summer experience,” Rinehart said. “We feel this is a great way to say ‘Thank you’ to all of them and allow them to celebrate together too.”
VIP tickets are available until the day of the event. Area bartenders, servers and kitchen staff can receive free admission, but registration is required. To register and/or purchase tickets, click this link and use the password BLAKE.
