Southwoods Express Care Opens in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio — Residents now have “fast, easy access” to nonurgent care at the new Southwoods Express Care.

Southwoods Health announced the opening of the clinic, 7629 Market St., Thursday. Southwoods Express Care provides immediate medical care for nonurgent issues, such as flu, coughs, colds, sprains, strains and minor injuries.

“We continue to focus on the community’s needs by expanding our services and helping patients gain convenient access to quality care,” said Ed Muransky, Southwoods Health CEO, in a statement. “At Southwoods, we know how busy life can be. That’s why we looked into opening an express care – there is a need for after hours, weekend health-care services when you can’t get in to see your doctor or you want to bypass an emergency room wait.”

Southwoods Express Care is the latest addition to the company since it opened the Southwoods Pain & Spine Center in May in the Southwoods Medical Building at 250 DeBartolo Place. The system also operates Southwoods Surgical Hospital, Southwoods Imaging, Southwoods Center for Breast Health and Southwoods Sleep Centers.

“Southwoods Express Care is able to treat almost any routine illness or injury,” Muransky said. “And it’s a great alternative to visiting an emergency room, allowing for shorter wait times and lower costs.”

Southwoods Express Care is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointments are necessary. For more information, call 330 965 4880 or visit SouthwoodsExpressCare.com.
