SRMC Receives Proclamation from Governor’s Office

COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Mary Kate Hastings, northeastern Ohio regional liaison for Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, on Monday presented a proclamation from the Governor’s Office in honor of the SRMC Surgery & Outpatient Pavilion’s recent ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Salem Regional Medical Center recently opened the new 76,600-square-foot medical facility at 400 Town Center Ave. at Firestone Farms TownCenter. Services at the state-of-the-art facility include:

Medical imaging: The Advanced Radiology Center, an independent diagnostic testing facility, offers many of the latest advances in medical imaging technology, including 3T MRIs, CT scans, 3D mammograms, ultrasounds, DEXA scans and digital x-rays. Walk-in availability for mammograms and digital X-rays is available during normal business hours.

Firestone Infusion Center: The center provides outpatient intravenous therapies and treatments for a variety of chronic conditions, including autoimmune diseases; blood disorders; Crohn’s disease; iron deficiency anemia; neuromuscular disorders; osteoporosis and other bone diseases; rheumatoid arthritis; and psoriasis and other skin diseases. Patients must have a physician referral to schedule a service at the Infusion Center.

SRMC medical group physician offices: Multispecialty physician practices are located within the new facility and include separate suites for plastic and reconstructive surgery services and primary and specialty care practices, including family medicine; ear, nose and throat; and pain management. SRMC Immediate Care offers walk-in diagnosis and treatment for minor, nonlife-threatening illnesses and injuries.

Firestone Surgery Center: The center will specialize in providing same-day surgeries with some of the area’s most advanced equipment and technology. As a freestanding multispecialty ambulatory surgery center, the FSC will offer patients a streamlined alternative to a traditional hospital outpatient surgery setting. It is tentatively scheduled to open in July.
