Steward Seeks Nominations for Exceptional EMS Providers

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Steward Health Care System is accepting nominations for Emergency Medical Services providers who go “above and beyond” in their interactions with patients at each of Steward’s community hospitals.

The winner will be honored at the EMS Stewards of the Community awards ceremony on May 24 at the Squaw Creek Country Club. The event takes place during National Emergency Medical Service week.

“EMS providers are on the front lines of health care delivery, often helping patients when every second counts,” said Brenden Hayden, director of EMS at Steward Health Care. “We encourage all members of the Steward family to nominate outstanding EMS providers in their community to thank them for their lifesaving work.”

The award ceremony highlightsemergency medical responders and dispatchers, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. A committee of physicians, nurses and EMS managers will review nominations and select recipients for each of the Steward hospitals.

Steward operates four local hospitals, including Sharon Regional Medical Center, Trumbull Regional Medical Center, Northside Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital.
