Student Panel: East Palestine Middle School

Throughout January, The Business Journal held four roundtable discussions with 5th through 8th graders from four middle schools: East Palestine, Springfield, Campbell and Brookfield, as well as students from the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy.

The roundtables were held to gain a perspective on how young people view the region as part of The Business Journal’s 15-month Brain Gain program, which focuses on building a culture of entrepreneurship and promoting workforce development.

The panels were moderated by The Business Journal’s content manager, Jeremy Lydic. All the students were selected by the schools.

This video has been slightly edited for time, but the subject matter and spirit of the discussion has not been altered. Today, we hear from the students from East Palestine Middle School, who discuss their view of the region and their plans for after high school.
