YCC Pro Sundstrom Inducted into Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Country Club PGA Professional Scott Sundstrom was inducted into Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame at the Oct. 25 fall meeting and awards ceremony at Westfield Country Club in Westfield Center, Ohio.
Sundstrom has been head golf pro at the Youngstown Country Club for 21 years. Prior to that, he was a collegiate player at Allegheny College, assistant golf professional at Oakmont Country Club near Pittsburgh, Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club in Delaware and head golf professional at Wanango Country Club in northwest Pennsylvania.
Sundstrom is the son of Norm Sundstrom, legendary Allegheny College golf coach and member of the National Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame.
Scott Sundstrom has held various positions on the Northeast Ohio PGA board since 2001, along with winning the Bill Strausbaugh Award, Horton Smith Award and named golf professional of the year. The Northern Ohio PGA spans from Toledo to Youngstown.
“I am extremely honored to receive this prestigious recognition,” Sundstrom says. “I have the utmost respect for the Northern Ohio PGA, and this is truly one of the great honors of my career.”
