Surgical Hospital at Southwoods Earns Two Excellence Awards

BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods has received Press Ganey’s Pinnacle of Excellence and Guardian of Excellence awards.

The Pinnacle Award recognizes health-care organizations that maintain high levels of excellence in patient experience for at least three consecutive years. 

The Guardian Award is given to centers that rank in the top percentile for patient satisfaction; Southwoods has earned the award every year since it was created in 2013.

Southwoods is one of just two hospitals in Ohio to receive both awards. 

“Our staff dedicates every day to perfecting the patient experience the Southwoods Way, and I’m proud of their hard work,” said Ed Muransky, CEO of Southwoods in a statement. “These awards reflect our unwavering commitment to improving the safety, quality and experience of patient care.”

Statewide, three hospitals including the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods earned the Pinnacle of Excellence Award and 16 earned the Guardian of Excellence Award.
