TBEIC Seeks Nominations to Honor Engineers

WARREN, Ohio — The Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center, in partnership with the Valley Alliance for Science and Technology,  is seeking nominations for the inaugural Mahoning Valley Engineer’s Week Awards.

The awards will be presented at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center here.

The public is welcome to submit nominations through Feb. 2. Honorees will be judged on professional and educational criteria.

“As an organization focused on innovation driven by science and technology, we would like to honor the top engineers in the area during National Engineers Week,” said Dave Nestic, Entrepreneur In Residence at The Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center.

Nominees must be licensed engineers living or working in northeast Ohio. Nomination applications can be requested by contacting Rose Shaffer Saborse at rose@tbeic.org or calling 330 207 2635.

Individuals can still register to participate in the Energy Hackathon that will also take place Feb. 23.

“We hope that this collaborative event will bring attention to the best and brightest engineers in the area and spur innovation and collaboration among area companies and talent,” stated Richard Stockburger, TBEIC chief operating officer.
