TechCred Funded 349 Employers in November

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In November, 349 employers were approved for funding through Ohio’s TechCred program, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced Thursday.

The funding will provide the opportunity for Ohioans to earn 4,466 tech-focused credentials, said Husted, who serves as director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.

“TechCred continues to grow and become a powerful tool for Ohio businesses and our workforce,” Husted said. “The numbers speak volumes about how TechCred is succeeding in growing our workforce and upskilling Ohioans in today’s tech-infused economy.”

In total, 2,173 Ohio employers have been approved for funding through the TechCred program, supporting the earning of 57,233 tech-focused credentials by employees.

“The TechCred numbers speak for themselves,” said Randy Gardner, Ohio Department of Higher Education chancellor. “Ohio’s economy and workforce continue to be strengthened by the thousands of tech-focused credentials earned by employees through this successful program.”

The current application period for businesses opened Jan. 3 and will close at 3 p.m. Jan. 31. Apply here.
