The Federal to Hold Grand Opening Friday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Federal, formerly Martini Brothers Burger Bar, will hold a grand opening celebration Friday to mark its makeover.

Friday’s celebration, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until 1:30 p.m., follows last night’s premiere of the “Bar Rescue” episode that chronicled the downtown restaurant’s makeover this summer. The Federal was one of two local establishments host Jake Taffer and his crew visited in August.

An email announcing Friday night’s event also promoted other activities in what is being called “110 Space,” for “sales, production, athletics, culture and entertainment.” The five-story building, located at 110 W. Federal St., previously housed S.H. Knox 5 & Dime, Woolworth, Rite aid and the Rosetta Stone before being acquired by Lemon Grove in 2012.

The email also promoted the building’s McKelvey Room for meetings, events and parties; Martini Brothers Catering and the Market, featuring quick food, a gift shop and information space.
