Columbiana Chamber to Honor 3 Businesses Feb. 24
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will honor three businesses at its 65th Annual Awards Banquet, held Feb. 24 at The Links Banquet Center at Firestone Farms.
Park Avenue Marketplace will be presented with the Entrepreneur Award, which recognizes businesses and individuals “who have made a signification investment in commercial property to enable a new small business to be developed and opened.” Park Avenue Marketplace, 14 E. Park Ave., is owned by David and Ginny Perkins and Larry and Vicki Deidrick. It is home to more than 50 antique and artisan vendors.
The Adaptive Reuse and Upgrade Award will be given to Birdfish Brewing Co., 16 S. Main St., for the work done by owner Josh Dunn, Josh Dunn, Jared Channel and Greg Snyder. Opened in 2015, the brewery is housed in a former car dealership.
RT Vernal Paving & Excavating, North Lima, will be given the Planned Unit Development award for the second phase of the Cedar Run development, which includes 34 lots that will be available for sale later this year.
