Tri-County Heart Ball Supports the Fight Against Heart Disease, Stroke

CANFIELD, Ohio — The American Heart Association will host its annual Heart of Tri-County Heart Ball Nov. 3 at Waypoint 4180.

The dollars raised through the Heart of Tri-County campaign fund the mission of the American Heart Association.

Co-chairs are James and Christina Dascenzo

“We are committed to spreading awareness about heart disease and teaching the community about the signs and symptoms of heart attack, and stroke, and when to take action,” says James Dascenzo.

“We are also passionate about creating and training a community of lifesavers through the chain of survival for a cardiac arrest victim,” Dr. Christina Dascenzo says. “Cardiovascular disease is the nation’s No. 1 killer. Every 40 seconds, someone loses their life to heart attack or stroke. Educating and training the community in hands-only CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death.”

This year’s Heart Ball will be hosted by WFMJ’s Derek Steyer.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour and silent auction. A formal dinner and program will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by a live auctionand music.
