Visit Lawrence County Promotes Attractions Through Videos

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A video made by Visit Lawrence County in 2023 to promote the Mines and Meadows off-roading attraction in Wampum, Pa., was viewed by close to 400,000 people and was saved by 7,500 people.

It was one of several created through the New Castle, Pa.-based tourism agency’s partnership with the Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance.

Visit Lawrence County last year invested $15,000 in sponsoring events to attract visitors. The agency also worked with hotels to add QR code inserts on their keycards that direct guests to Visit Lawrence County’s website.

In 2024, the agency will celebrate Lawrence County’s 175th birthday with events throughout the year and a tourism expo Sept. 15 at Scottish Rite Cathedral.

This spring, it will launch the “Sunday Sauce Trail” digital passport, which plays to the Italian family tradition of gathering on Sundays for a family meal.
