VisitMercerCountyPA to Honor Three at Annual Dinner
SHARON, Pa. – VisitMercerCountyPA has announced Stacey Glenn is the recipient of the Bill Knecht Tourism Award, while brothers John and Rick Kerins are the winners of the James W. Winner Jr. Tourism Initiative Award.
The three will be honored at the tourism bureau’s annual dinner June 21.
Glenn (pictured above) has served on the agency’s board of directors for nine years as president, vice president and secretary and was the driving force behind the development of the Tourism Bucks campaign. She also serves on the 79/80 Interstate Development Corp. board of directors and is a past member of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce board.
John and Rick Kerins have operated Tam O’Shanter Golf Course in Hermitage since the 1980s, when they assumed management from their parents. In the early 2000s, they developed golf packages with local hotels and served 4,000 hotel visitors within a couple years of the effort’s launch. John Kerins helped develop the Mercer County Golf Trail, while Rick Kerins led the course’s certification as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System.

VisitMercerCountyPA’s annual dinner will be held at Buhl Mansion Guesthouse & Spa June 21. The dinner includes live entertainment and an auction featuring art, jewelry, vacation packages and golf outings, with proceeds supporting the Bill Knecht Tourism Scholarship.
