WaterFire Sharon Wins Event of the Year Award
SHARON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association has named WaterFire Sharon as its 2018 event of the year.
The association will present organizers with the Spirit of Hospitality Award Oct. 23 at its annual meeting in Philadelphia.
WaterFire Sharon began in 2013, drawing inspiration from a similar event in Providence, R.I. The main attraction is the lighting of 55 braziers installed on the Shenango River in downtown Sharon as dusk settles. The events also feature regional artists and musicians.
The 2019 WaterFire series will be limited to two dates: July 27 and Sept. 21.
