Weekend Entertainment | Fireworks, Roast Beef and Beer

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Fourth of July weekend means fireworks and with the holiday falling on Monday, the public displays are spread out over four days.

Wean Park in downtown Youngstown will be the site of a spectacular show Friday evening. Food trucks will be there and DJ Chip Banks will provide music starting at 8 p.m.

The fireworks will be launched from the Market Street Bridge at 10 p.m. Admission is free.

The Canfield Fair Fireworks Festival will start at 5 p.m. Saturday ($10 per carload).

On Sunday, there will be fireworks in downtown Sharon, Pa., Westminster College‘s Brittain Lake; Waterworth Park in Salem; and in Austintown Plaza.

On Monday, July 4, there will be fireworks shows at the Packard Music Hall lawn in Warren; Pearson Park in New Castle, Pa.; Firestone Park in Columbiana; and after the Scrappers game at Eastwood Field in Niles (go to mvscrappers.com for tickets).

Some other highlights this weekend include the annual Mesopotamia Ox Roast, which will take place at state Route 534 in Mesopotamia (10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday).

Harry Stevens Hot Day festival will take place Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. in downtown Niles.

At the Warren Amphitheatre, Fins to the Left (a Jimmy Buffett tribute show) will take the stage Friday evening, while 7 Bridges (a tribute to The Eagles) will take the stage Saturday. Go to https://www.riverrockattheamp.com/.
