Westside Tire Is on a Roll with More Sales

YOUNGSTOWN – Westside Tire & Service saw a 10% increase in sales in 2019, added eight employees and broke ground on an expansion of its Austintown store, says Lisa Walters, vice president.

The company became one of the first certified female-friendly shops in the Mahoning Valley. In July, Walters took its female employees to Philadelphia to attend an “eventinic” put on by Girls Auto Clinic. They brought back what they learned and presented their own car care clinic to help women and girls learn about their vehicles.

The company expects sales to increase in 2020 and plans to hire more employees. The company, established in 1978, received the Marketplace Trust Award from the Better Business Bureau in 2019.

Westside Tire & Service has locations at 2408 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 4881 Mahoning Ave., Austintown; and 109 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles.
