Westside Tire’s Walters to be Honored as Woman of the Year

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Lisa Walters, vice president of Westside Tire & Service, will be honored as Woman of the Year at a special event during National Business Women’s Week.  

The event, sponsored by Youngstown Business and Professional Women, will be held Oct. 17 at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio.

Walters is an active member of Business Network International, having served as vice president. Other affiliations include Automotive Training Institute, United Way, Women United and AskPatty, a certification for female friendly repair shops. 

“Lisa has been a driving force in promoting equality and paving the way for women to excel in a traditionally male-dominated field,” said Jessica Foster, YBPW president. “That, coupled with her commitment to the Youngstown community, make her the perfect recipient for our Woman of the Year honor. We’re so excited to be able to honor Lisa as this year’s Woman of the Year.” 

Proceeds from the event fund scholarships that aid deserving women pursuing higher education in the greater Youngstown area. 

Tickets for the event are $60.
