Window World Adds Michigan Store
BOARDMAN – 2019 was another year of growth for the Moran family, owners of Window World Youngstown since 2002.
In April, the family opened a new location with a partner, Halim Sheena, in Commerce, Mich. It is their seventh Window World franchise, joining operations in Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Toledo, Steubenville, Cleveland and Akron.
Window World Youngstown also expanded its warehouse and corporate headquarters by adding 10,000 square feet to its building at 8070 Southern Blvd. in Boardman.
Window World, based in North Wilkesboro, N.C., is the largest exterior remodeler in the country, according to the 2019 Remodelers 550 Report published by Remodeling Magazine. The Moran family is considered one of the largest franchise owners among the 212 locations across the country.
The Moran family embraced Window World’s newest initiative, Careers for Heroes, by partnering with the Canfield Fair board and the All Veteran Group parachute team to kick off the fair. Fred Moran, 84, jumped tandem into the fairgrounds with the president of All Veteran Group. “It was an experience of a lifetime,” he says. “It was on my bucket list – plus we were able to promote Window World’s initiative to hire vets.”
Plans for 2020 include remodeling the Youngstown showroom and moving Window World Steubenville to an expanded location in Weirton, W.Va. – “all to improve the customer experience,” Moran says.
