Women in Business: Beth Scheller
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Beth Scheller serves as the chief operating officer of the YMCA of Youngstown. She holds a bachelor’s degree In Communication Arts and Secondary Education from Malone University, and master’s degree from Springfield College in Organizational Management and Leadership. Married to Mark Scheller, they have two sons, Jacob and Jordan, and a daughter Jayden.
Beth started her YMCA career as a part-time lifeguard at the downtown Canton YMCA. After college, she held the roles of Aquatic Director and Senior Program Director at the Lake County YMCA in Painesville, Ohio. In 2003 she joined the leadership team of the YMCA of Youngstown as Associate Executive Director of the Davis Family YMCA in Boardman. She was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Advancement in 2012, and then again as the Chief Operating Officer in 2016.
Beth was a Faculty Trainer for the YMCA of the USA, and is currently serving on YUSA’s Child Protection and Aquatic Safety Thought Leader Cohort. She is a member of Leadership Mahoning Valley Class of 2019 and has served on two local boards of directors.
