Women in Business: Megan Vickers
GIRARD, Ohio – Megan Vickers is the president of Soft Touch Furniture, a Girard mainstay for more than 40 years. She is a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, having graduated from Liberty High School and Kent State University. Megan began working at her family’s business when she was a teenager.
Community is important to Megan and her husband, Jeffrey Vickers. She serves on the boards of the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, Akiva Academy, Temple El Emeth and Girard/Liberty Rotary. She is active in the Girard Schools PTO, where her 10-year-old twins attend school.
Soft Touch Furniture is known for its charity work, which Megan spearheads. The company supports the Panerathon/Joannie Abdu Breast Care Center, Alex’s Lemonade Stand and the Dan Marino Foundation for Autism.Megan continually works to make her company and community a better place.
