Women’s Conference Aims to Build Workplace Confidence

COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Giving women the tools to overcome the barriers they face in the workplace will be the goal of a women’s conference March 25 at the Columbiana Cultural Collective.

“Breaking Barriers, Building Confidence: Unleashing Women’s Potential in the Workplace” is a presentation that will be led by Mandy McIntyre of Level Up Consultants.

The purpose of the free public event is to offer a deeper understanding of the barriers women encounter and equip them with the necessary tools for professional and personal growth. Those include actionable steps, inspiration and a renewed commitment to themselves and each other.

The doors will open at 8 a.m., and state Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel of Columbiana, R-79th, and Dr. Anita Hackstedde, president and CEO of Salem Regional Medical Center, will provide opening remarks at 9 a.m.

Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Humtown Industries.

The event is co-sponsored by the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which are collaborating to provide “a platform where women can share experiences, learn from each other and build a supportive community,” according to Lori Jewell, executive director of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.

“All Area Chamber members are welcome to attend this event, and we hope this is just the beginning of hosting events like this for the Valley,” Jewell said.

Columbiana Cultural Collective is located at 5 N. Main St.
